IELTS Medical — VR Hospital Training
Interactive VR hospital where nurses practise patient communication, positioning and fitting medical equipment.

The Challenge
IELTS Medical trains healthcare professionals for practice in the UK. Nurses need to rehearse how they speak with patients and carry out hands-on procedures, like positioning a patient and fitting the right equipment, before doing it for real.
The Solution
An interactive VR hospital. Trainee nurses talk with a virtual patient, learn to position them properly, and fit medical attachments, practising communication and procedure together.
My Role
As a contract Software Engineer (Oct – Nov 2024), I developed the VR hospital in Unity with C#, including the patient communication flow and the positioning and attachment interactions.
Tech
Unity, C#, VR.
Outcome
A hands-on environment where nurses can repeat communication and clinical procedures as often as they need, with no risk to real patients.
